beabadoobee has her first top 10 on the Billboard 200. Her fourth studio album, 'Pylon', enters the chart dated Oct. 3 at No. 7.

The album earned 36,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the tracking week ending Sept. 24, according to data from Luminate reported by Billboard. Equivalent album units are the measure that converts streams and sales into album sales. That total includes 25,000 in traditional album sales. That sales week is the best of her career so far.

Traditional purchases did most of the work. 'Pylon' opens at No. 2 on Top Album Sales, the Billboard ranking that counts paid purchases of albums on CD, vinyl, cassette and download rather than streams. It is a strong finish on a competitive sales chart. It also puts her straight into the top tier of physical buyers.

Vinyl was central to that result. 'Pylon' debuts at No. 2 on Vinyl Albums with 16,000 vinyl copies sold. That is her best week on vinyl to date. More than half of her 25,000 album sales in the week came on vinyl. The album also opens at No. 4 on Indie Store Album Sales, which measures sales through independent shops.

The genre charts tell the same story. 'Pylon' starts at No. 3 on Top Rock & Alternative Albums, which groups rock and alternative titles together. It debuts at No. 2 on Top Rock Albums. It debuts at No. 3 on Top Alternative Albums. Across sales, vinyl, independent stores, genre rankings and the overall Billboard 200, the album lands in the top 10 on seven Billboard album charts.

Fans had plenty of versions to choose from. In its first week, 'Pylon' was on sale across 10 vinyl variants including signed editions. There were also three CD variants including a signed edition, two cassettes and a download edition. Multiple physical variants are now a standard way to reach collectors and high-street buyers. The album was released via Dirty Hit/Inertia.

The American debut caps a busy week internationally. 'Pylon' gave beabadoobee her second U.K. No. 1 album, as confirmed on Sept. 25. In Australia, it debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Chart, which tracks the most popular albums in the country. That was her first chart-topper in Australia.

What makes this stand out is the balance. Streams counted toward the Billboard 200 total. Sales carried it. For a guitar-led act in a streaming market, 25,000 paid copies in one week, with 16,000 on vinyl, is the number that changed the chart position.
