Hoichoi lines up 25 titles for year 10, led by Srijit Mukherji's Satyajit Ray film
Hoichoi will mark its 10th year with more than 25 new series, films and television titles, led by Srijit Mukherji's film about Satyajit Ray, Maharaja Tomare Selam, Variety reported on 30 September 2026.
The Bengali-language streaming service has put the Ray story at the top of the slate. Maharaja Tomare Selam depicts Ray making the children's film Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne. The cast lists Jeetu Kamal, Ritwik Bhowmik, Rudranil Ghosh, Sairity Banerjee, Shatakshy Nandy and Arijit Dutta.
Two familiar detectives return with new cases. That is the hook for long-time viewers.
Feludar Goyendagiri: Baksho Rawhoshyo, directed by Kamaleswar Mukherjee, centres on Feluda chasing the secret of a box swapped during a train journey. Tota Roy Choudhury stars as Feluda alongside Kalpan Mitra and Subhadip Chakrabarti. The Eken branch continues on the film side with The Eken: Kerala-e Kurukshetra, directed by Joydeep Mukherjee for Hoichoi Studio.
The wider slate mixes films and multi-episode series. Parambrata Chatterjee directs and appears in Jononi alongside Koel Mallick, Koneenica Banerjee and Joy Sengupta. Debaloy Bhattacharya's Bhugun stars Abhishek Banerjee and Parno Mittra.
Pratim D. Gupta's new series Chaalchitro: The Ekchala Murders stars Tota Roy Choudhury, Anirban Chakrabarti, Chanchal Chowdhury and Sweta Mishra. Raima Sen leads Kumari, created by Sahana Dutta.
Hoichoi is also adding its first animated series. Shri Ramkrishna, directed by Sanglap Bhowmick, tells the story of Ramakrishna Paramahansa, the 19th-century spiritual figure. On the television side, Madhumita Sarcar and Arjun Chakrabarty star in Katha-Amrito, while Trina Saha stars in Sholaka Rawhoshyo.
The bundle follows an earlier pattern. Hoichoi announced more than 25 new titles for its third anniversary in 2020, Indian Express reported at the time.
What makes this stand out for fans is the range in one announcement. A period film about Ray sits next to detective returns, new thrillers and animation. For crews and casts, each title is a separate commission, meaning work and a finished story.
