007 First Light gets free Extended Operations update with New Game Plus

007 First Light just got bigger at no extra cost.
The Extended Operations update was released on 1 October 2026 as a free download for all players, according to Push Square. It adds New Game Plus, a replay mode that lets you start the story again after finishing it once, plus a photo mode for taking in-game pictures. It also adds new missions, new outfits and new weapons.
New Game Plus unlocks after beating the campaign on any difficulty, Eurogamer reports. That same completion also opens the 00 difficulty mode. It is described as considerably harder. Weapon handling has also been tuned for more precision to movement and weapon behaviour, and enemies can now throw the player off ledges.
The update expands TacSim, the game's challenge mode. TacSim consists of small sections of campaign levels remixed with new objectives, as IGN previously described it. Two of the new tests show the range.
One sends players driving the Aston Martin Valhalla across a Slovakian mountainside in timed challenges at varying times of day. The other takes place at the Pearl resort in Vietnam, where the task is to retrieve classified documents from a safe before escaping to a rooftop.
For fans, this means more reasons to stay after the credits. The main story ends with M and Bond discussing a mysterious organisation operating in the shadows, a thread that points towards a sequel.
The release follows ongoing fixes for the game. IO Interactive issued a Game Update Version 1.1.0, dated 24 July, which it said addressed more than 200 issues reported by the community and internal play testers. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game was delayed until 2027.
