Wild About You will get its first full staging in London at Charing Cross Theatre from 18 January to 10 April 2027.

The casting for the return has been announced, led by Jodie Steele as Olivia, Stewart Clarke as Michael and Alfie Friedman as Billy WhatsOnStage. Danielle Steers will play Jess, Bea Ward will play Scoot and Cassandra McCowan joins as female ensemble.

The musical follows Billy on the day of his high school graduation party. He finds a trunk of letters written to him by his late mother. The discovery sends him back through her story.

It has a book by Dani Stoller, meaning the spoken story around the songs, with music and lyrics by Chilina Kennedy. Kristin Hanggi directs. Daniel Edmonds is music supervisor, orchestrator and arranger. Brian Spector produces, with Caitlin McNeilage as associate producer.

The show is billed as a fully staged world premiere, meaning its first production with full sets, costumes and staging, following sold-out concerts. It previously played a series of concerts at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

For fans, this means a shift in scale. The concerts put the songs in front of a big house. This run puts the whole story on its feet in a smaller room.
