The Choir of Man returns to London with a new cast

The Choir of Man opens a new London run at Arts at Marble Arch on 10 December 2026, and the season is booked until 14 February 2027, according to WhatsOnStage.
The show is set inside an on-stage pub called The Jungle. It was created by Nic Doodson and Andrew Kay, and its soundtrack draws on songs by Queen, Luther Vandross, Sia, Paul Simon, Adele and Katy Perry. Its first West End home was the Arts Theatre, where it opened in October 2021. It went on to play more than 1,000 performances there and welcomed more than 280,000 audience members, the same report says.
The production earned an Olivier Award nomination for Best Entertainment or Comedy Play. The Oliviers are the main annual awards for London theatre, run by the Society of London Theatre, the trade body for the city's commercial and subsidised houses. The most recent West End run closed in January 2026.
The touring cast will reprise their roles for the London season. The principal parts are:
- Maestro: Gustav Melbardis
- Poet: Oluwalonimi (Nimi) Owoyemi
- Hard Man: Levi Tyrell Johnson
- Joker: Ben Mabberley
- Beast: Rob Godfrey
- Handyman: Adam Hilton
- Barman: Joshua Lloyd
- Romantic: Sam Walter
- Bore: Aaron Pottenger
Four swings will also be in the company. A swing is a performer who learns several roles so they can step in when a cast member is unavailable. The swings are Sam Ebenezer, Jared Leathwood, Niall Woodson and Lewis Dragisic.
Adam Hilton has been with the show since 2021. In 2022 he became its associate choreographer and movement director, the person who shapes how the cast moves on stage. He is now stepping into a performing role in the London season.
The London run is produced by HH Productions, Nic Doodson, Andrew Kay, Global Creative and Kenny Wax. Tickets for the Arts at Marble Arch season went on sale on 2 September 2026, according to the show's official website.
The show has other dates lined up. Its UK and Ireland tour is booking until 5 December 2026. It is also due at the Sydney Opera House from 11 December 2026 to 24 January 2027, and at the Auckland Arts Festival from 4 to 14 March 2027.
For anyone planning a visit, the London run gives the show its longest stay in the city since its first arrival in 2021. The season runs for just over nine weeks, from the first preview week through to closing night in mid-February.
