Bruno Mars and Karol G Share Balcony Video for 'Dance With Me'

Bruno Mars has released a music video for “Dance With Me” featuring Karol G on Oct. 1. The song is the closing track on his album The Romantic, according to Billboard.

The clip stages a straight serenade. Mars sings to Karol G from below her balcony with a full band behind him.

It is their second team-up in quick succession. Mars and Karol G previously collaborated on “Still,” which they first performed together when Mars made a surprise appearance during her Aug. 15 concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

“Still” is an all-English synth-pop ballad from Karol G’s sixth studio album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto. It was Karol G’s first fully English-language song, according to Rolling Stone. The track reached No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100, the chart that ranks the most popular songs in the United States.

The new video follows a playful exchange on social media. On Sept. 28, Mars jokingly posted “I have to get her back!” after a video spread online of Drake dancing with Karol G during Drake’s surprise appearance at her concert in Houston.

Chart numbers give the context. The Romantic is Mars’ first solo album in nearly a decade and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the chart that ranks the most popular albums in the US. “Dance With Me” opened at No. 42 on the Hot 100.

Karol G’s No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200. For listeners who still buy physical music, Mars’ official store also lists a limited-edition “Dance With Me” 7-inch vinyl record from The Romantic, pressed on black vinyl, according to the Bruno Mars official store.

For fans following the back-and-forth, the pattern is simple. A stadium surprise in August. A Houston dance that sparked a joke in September. Now a balcony scene to close the album.
