Dua Lipa speaks Italian in Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games promotion

Dua Lipa has fronted promotional content for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
In the clip she opens her monologue in Italian before switching to English for the closing line: “Milan, such a cool place,” Billboard. The line stuck. She has since turned it into a running joke across her own accounts.
On Thursday, Oct. 1, she posted a TikTok filmed while walking on an Italian street and speaking to the camera in Italian. She also shared an Instagram carousel with the caption “Milan…such a cool place,” a direct reference to the Games promotion.
The Milano Cortina clip is set to an instrumental version of her song “Training Season.” The track was released in 2024 as the second single from her third studio album, Radical Optimism. It debuted at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100, the United States singles chart.
The Games promotion is separate from an NBC Winter Olympics advertisement starring the singer. In that spot she hypes Team USA’s Winter Olympic athletes, NBC reports. Her central line is that the Winter Olympics will get even cooler when incredible women take the world stage.
What makes this stand out is the language switch. Lipa starts in Italian for the local audience, then lands the English punchline for an international one. For viewers, this means the same face links the host-city campaign from Games organisers and the United States broadcast campaign from NBC.
