Jessica Lange to receive Lifetime Achievement Award at SCAD Savannah Festival

Jessica Lange will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 SCAD Savannah Film Festival.
SCAD announced the honour on Oct. 2, Variety reported. The presentation will take place during the festival's screening of "Long Day's Journey Into Night". The festival runs Oct. 24-31 in Savannah.
Lange stars as Mary Tyrone, the family matriarch, opposite Ed Harris. The film is an adaptation of Eugene O'Neill's play about one family over one day. It follows a mother, a father and their sons as old tensions resurface.
The role is familiar ground for Lange. She previously played Mary Tyrone on Broadway and earned a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award for the performance. She reprises her 2016 Tony-winning stage role for the screen, Deadline reported.
Lange is a two-time Academy Award winner. She will also collect the 2026 Visionary Award from the Virginia Film Festival, that festival announced.
The Savannah programme is taking shape. The festival will open with "A Talent for Murder" and close with "Wild Horse Nine". "Paper Tiger", "I Play Rocky" and "Behemoth!" have been added to the lineup.
"The Debut" will screen on Oct. 27 as the Centerpiece Gala Presentation. That slot is the festival's central gala screening, held midway through the week-long event.
Passes for the festival are now on sale. Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday, Oct. 2, according to SCAD.
For fans, this means two chances to see Lange honoured on the autumn festival circuit. Savannah will celebrate the full span of her screen and stage career. Virginia will follow the release of her latest film.
