MBC Studios has claimed November 19 for Traveller's Hell, its screen version of Saudi author Osamah Almuslim's best-selling novel of the same name, as reported by Deadline. November 19 is the date. The announcement turns a loose 2026 release plan into a firm day on the cinema calendar.

The story is a psychological thriller about a young woman who picks up a stranger on a remote road. Almuslim wrote the screenplay himself, adapting his own book. That credit matters to readers. It means the dialogue and structure come from the novelist, not a later hire.

The director is Hana Alomair, and the film is her first feature. A first feature is simply a director's debut at full cinema length. Alomair previously co-wrote and directed Whispers. She is a Saudi filmmaker, and the new production was shot on location across Saudi Arabia.

The cast is built as an ensemble, with several principal players rather than a single lead. The names announced are Adwa Bader, Basil Alsole, Mohammed Ali, Shojaat Nashat and Aziz Gharbawi. No roles have been detailed. For general viewers, that list is the first guide to who carries the story.

The release will open in Saudi cinemas first. Dates for other Arab cities are still to be announced. A staged rollout of this kind is common for regional films, which often open at home before widening.

The date is the latest step in a long build. MBC Studios first struck a deal with Almuslim more than two years ago to adapt several of his works for film and television. The studio later put Traveller's Hell at the top of a new production slate as a high-end horror title, as reported by Variety. At that stage the plan was a theatre release across MENA, the Middle East and North Africa.

The project had earlier been slated to begin production in the first half of 2025, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. It was then listed for release in 2026. Now it has a day and a launch market.

What makes this stand out for fans is the shape of it. A local bestseller moving to the big screen. The author on script duties. A director making the jump to features. Now audiences know when to look for it.
