Dead by Daylight maker hiring for unannounced sci-fi shooter

Behaviour Interactive is hiring for an unannounced triple-A sci-fi FPS.
The detail comes from a company listing for a senior technical animator, reported by Eurogamer on 5 October 2026. Triple-A means a full-scale, big-budget production. An FPS, or first-person shooter, is played from the character's point of view.
The listing describes the project as a triple-A sci-fi shooter built in Unreal Engine, the widely used game-making toolkit from Epic Games. It also sets “a high realism bar” for the work, according to the posting on Behaviour Interactive’s jobs page. A senior technical animator typically bridges art and code, building the rigs and systems that let characters move convincingly.
No title, platforms, or release date have been announced. The job ad is the reveal. It gives no story details beyond genre and scope.
Behaviour is a Canadian studio best known for Dead by Daylight, its asymmetrical multiplayer horror game where one player hunts the others. That game remains its flagship. The studio has also done contract work and published its own titles.
One of those titles was Meet Your Maker, which Behaviour self-published in 2023. The building-and-raiding game let players design outposts and then break into other players’ creations. In 2024, the company said the game was shifting into maintenance mode, meaning no major new content, only upkeep.
The sci-fi shooter is separate from Exterminauts, Behaviour’s other announced shooter. Exterminauts is a third-person co-op PvE shooter, meaning players team up against computer-controlled enemies rather than each other, viewed from behind the character.
What makes this stand out is the change of lane. Behaviour built its name on close-quarters horror and multiplayer chase. A realistic sci-fi shooter from first-person view calls for different weapons, movement, and pacing.
For fans, this means waiting. Hiring for animation systems usually points to production rather than a finished game. Until Behaviour names the project, the listing is all players have to go on.
