Bokeh Game Studio casts performers for untitled horror project

Bokeh Game Studio is hiring motion-capture performers for its next project, an untitled game with horror at its core.
The casting details were reported on 10 October 2026. They list eight parts and describe motion-capture work, where performers in tracked suits have their movement recorded to drive characters on screen. Bokeh was founded by Keiichiro Toyama, director of the original Silent Hill and creator of Siren and Gravity Rush, according to Eurogamer. Its debut game, Slitterhead, was released in 2024.
The sheet names River, Dean, Lyra, Hazel, Becca, Dena, Emma and an eight-year-old girl. Several entries link the characters to creature transformation. That is the clearest signal of genre. No title, platforms or release date have been given.
Some descriptions deal with adult material. They include drug use and trafficking, violence, abuse, grief and sex work. The listings frame these as character background for performers, not story detail.
Two entries give creative reference points. Lyra cites actor Mia Goth as a tonal reference. River cites River Phoenix and Kurt Cobain as visual references.
Toyama formed Bokeh after departing SIE Japan Studio, according to Game Developer. The studio's leadership also includes Junya Okura as chief technology officer and game director, whose past credits include Silent Hill, Siren and Gravity Rush.
What makes this stand out is how much the casting reveals before any formal announcement. Names, reference points and transformation notes sketch a dark ensemble piece. For now, Bokeh has not announced the game itself. The hires point to early performance work, not a launch.
