Carly Rae Jepsen will release eight extra songs this Friday under the title Day and Night (Continued).

The Canadian singer announced the collection as a B-sides companion — songs recorded around the sessions for her latest album but held back from the final cut — to her double record Day and Night, according to Rolling Stone. It arrives only weeks after the parent album went out.

The new set is organised into two sides of four, mirroring the day-night split of the main record. Side A (Day) contains “Reaching For a Star,” “Sixteen and Rising,” “Wedding Season” and “Lullaby.” Side B (Night) contains “Yes,” “Muscle Memory,” “Love Depressed” and “In Pure Faith.”

Day and Night is Jepsen’s eighth studio record and her first double album, a two-part release spread across separate Day and Night discs. The album runs to 24 tracks in total, as NPR reported last month.

Continued keeps up a release habit Jepsen started in 2016 with Emotion: Side B. Since then she has regularly packaged leftover studio material as its own collection rather than leaving it unreleased.

Jepsen will take the Day and Night material on the road next year. She is scheduled to tour North America on the Day and Night Tour, which includes her debut performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

For fans, this means three previously named songs now have a confirmed home. “Yes,” “Wedding Season” and “Muscle Memory” all appear on the Continued tracklist, divided between the lighter Day side and the club-leaning Night side.
