Carly Rae Jepsen Releases 24-Song Double Album Day and Night
Carly Rae Jepsen has released Day and Night, her eighth studio album, on 18 September through Interscope Records.
The set is a double album with 24 songs. It runs for more than 100 minutes, Billboard reported on 18 September. That is a lot of music.
Day and Night is the follow-up to her 2023 album The Loveliest Time. The first single is “On Wires”, which Jepsen co-wrote with Nate Cyphert and Kyle Shearer.
Jepsen first reached a global audience with “Call Me Maybe”. The song spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Nine weeks at the top.
The new album arrives alongside theatre work. Jepsen will team up with Ethan Gruska to write music and lyrics for a Broadway musical adaptation of 10 Things I Hate About You.
Interscope lists Day and Night on CD and 2LP vinyl, organised across DAY and NIGHT discs. The DAY disc opens with “After All”, according to the label’s CD listing. A signed 2LP vinyl edition also includes a signed art card, the label’s store notes.
