Carly Rae Jepsen will release Day and Night (Continued) this Friday, an eight-song companion to her eighth album Day and Night.

The singer revealed the project on Instagram, as reported by Pitchfork. The new collection is made up of B-sides, songs recorded around the album sessions that did not make the final tracklist.

It is organised in two halves to match the parent record. Side A (Day) contains four songs: “Reaching for a Star,” “Sixteen and Rising,” “Wedding Season” and “Lullaby.”

Side B (Night) contains the other four: “Yes,” “Muscle Recovery,” “Love Depressed” and “In Pure Faith.” That mirror structure keeps the day-night split that defined the full album.

Day and Night was released as a 24-track double album, a two-part record sold as one package. Twelve songs sit on the Day half and 12 sit on the Night half, according to earlier reporting from Stereogum and Rolling Stone. Jepsen made the album with longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe.

A B-side follow-up is familiar territory for her. She did the same after her 2015 album E•MO•TION, releasing leftover material as its own collection. Her most recent B-side release was the 2023 LP The Loveliest Time.

More live dates are ahead. Jepsen will kick off a North America tour in 2027.

For fans, this means eight more songs from the same writing period, sequenced to be heard as a small day-to-night arc before that tour begins.
