Bomani Jones has a new home for The Right Time.

The Emmy Award-winning sports commentator has teamed with New York podcast firm Playmaker for his long-running show, Deadline reported on 6 October 2026. Same show. New set-up.

New episodes of The Right Time with Bomani Jones release four times per week, according to the show's X feed. Full video episodes are published on YouTube via @righttimebomani. Production is now based at a new, purpose-built studio in Harlem, New York.

Jones introduced the Playmaker partnership and the studio in a Facebook video titled Welcome to My Crib, posted on 2 October. The clip walks viewers through the space. It frames Playmaker as the show's backer going forward.

The move follows a long run across television and audio. The Right Time launched in 2018 under ESPN. Jones acquired the rights to the title in 2021, meaning he owns and controls the show outright, and he left ESPN in 2023.

Along the way he also worked in late night. He hosted Game Theory, a late-night series that aired on HBO in 2022 and 2023. His earlier career included extended spells at both ESPN and HBO.

Playmaker brings scale in sports audio and video. The company is based in New York and owned by Better Collective, a Danish digital sports media organisation. Its roster includes The Roommates Show with New York Knicks teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart.

The slate also stretches beyond talk podcasts. Playmaker carries a bowling series hosted by L.A. Dodger Mookie Betts. It works across various projects with Shaquille O'Neal.

For fans, this means continuity with a fresh address. The voice and the four-a-week rhythm stay. The distribution and studio around them change.
