Jackson Brothers Reunite for First Joint Documentary

Jackie, Jermaine, Tito and Marlon Jackson are telling their story together for the first time. The four brothers, the founding members of The Jackson 5 alongside Michael Jackson, have given exclusive access for a new documentary, according to Variety. It is the first time the four have fronted a film about themselves as a group.
The project comes from Workerbee, which is part of Banijay UK, and Paper Route Studios. Exclusive access, in television terms, means the producers were given private interview time and archive rights that no rival crew can match for this story. The teams spent three years on the production. Benjamin Hirsch directs.
It took three years. That kind of long build often means tracking down old footage, clearing music rights and sitting down for hours of interviews. It is slow work, built on trust as much as tape.
The finished film runs 90 minutes. It has also been cut as a three-part docuseries, meaning a documentary told across three episodes, for buyers who want a longer version. Both versions are being prepared for release around the world.
Mediawan will handle international distribution, meaning sales of the film outside its home market. The company will start that sales push at MIPCOM, the international television market in Cannes where broadcasters and streamers buy new shows, as reported by Variety.
The documentary includes what is billed as the last interview given by Tito Jackson before his death in 2024. His brothers appear alongside him. The news was reported on 12 October 2026, and no channel or streaming home has yet been announced.
What makes this stand out is the line-up. Many music films focus on one star. This one puts the other four brothers at the centre as narrators of their own history.
For viewers, the two versions matter. A single film suits one evening. Three episodes leave more room to pause between chapters. Channels and platforms can pick the shape that fits their schedule, which is the slot that decides when a show actually reaches people.
That choice sits with buyers now. Viewers will know more once a channel or streamer sets a date for the global release.
