Sonia Clavell has joined the management team of Los Hermanos Rosario as marketing strategy and management advisor.

Billboard exclusively announced the appointment on Oct. 6, reporting that Clavell will work alongside the group's longtime manager, René Solís. Billboard

Clavell is the manager of Ivy Queen and president of Bravas Entertainment, a company that specialises in artist management and live events. She was a 2026 Billboard Latin Women in Music Executive honouree.

Los Hermanos Rosario play merengue, the fast, brass-led dance music of the Dominican Republic. The band was founded in Higüey in 1978 by brothers Toño, Pepe, Rafael, Ramón Antonio (Tony) and Luis Rosario. It is now led by Luis, Rafa and Tony Rosario.

The group has five Top 10 hits on Billboard Tropical Airplay, the US radio chart for tropical styles such as merengue and salsa. Those hits are “La Dueña del Swing,” “Rompecintura,” “Siento,” “Alo” and “Esa Muchacha.”

Eight of its albums have charted on Top Tropical Albums, which ranks the most popular tropical albums in the US. That run includes Y es Facil, which reached No. 1 in 1997.

The timing matters. The band released the live set Identidad (Live) in 2026. It will reach its 50-year mark in 2028.

For fans, this means new hands on a long career. Clavell brings experience in marketing, touring and brand work. Solís brings continuity from the group’s existing team.
