Kacey Musgraves sings fully in Spanish for first time with Intocable

Kacey Musgraves has released a version of “Uncertain, TX” sung entirely in Spanish with Mexican group Intocable. Billboard reported the collaboration on 6 October 2026.
The new recording is performed fully in Spanish. It is Musgraves’ first fully Spanish-language recording. Intocable share joint billing on the track.
The group is from Mexico, as noted by Rolling Stone. They are also billed as Grupo Intocable, according to Consequence. That dual name will be familiar to followers of regional Mexican and Tejano music, where “grupo” simply means group or band.
“Uncertain, TX” first appeared on Musgraves’ album Middle of Nowhere. The original version featured Willie Nelson. The Spanish-language edition replaces that earlier duet pairing with Intocable, while keeping the same song title, a reference to a small town in east Texas.
The original had made its own chart start in the United States. It debuted at No. 50 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, the US ranking that measures country tracks by streams, sales and radio play, with 2.4 million US streams. The parent album, Middle of Nowhere, debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, the equivalent list for albums.
What makes this stand out is the language. Musgraves is recognised as a country singer and songwriter working mainly in English. A full Spanish vocal is a clear departure, and it puts her voice alongside a Spanish-speaking act with its own audience.
For fans, this means there are now two distinct versions of the song to find. One is the English-language original with Nelson from Middle of Nowhere. The other is the all-Spanish re-recording with Intocable. Both carry the same title and come from the same album project.
