Noel Gallagher on Oasis reunion: Family is different, you don't have to say anything

Noel Gallagher says getting Oasis back together with his brother Liam came down to one thing. "Family is different, you don't have to say anything," he says in an unseen clip from "Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger," reported by Variety.
The clip comes from the brothers' first joint interview in 25 years. It was shown at a special event at London's Abbey Road ahead of the film's streaming launch, according to Variety.
That interview ends a long silence. Liam and Noel were no longer on speaking terms from 2009, and later reconciled after 15 years without contact, according to Variety and Variety Australia.
The film follows last year's Oasis reunion and sell-out world tour, charting the Oasis Live '25 run from rehearsal rooms to stadiums. The two-hour film captures the band's 2025 global comeback tour and includes the tense first rehearsal with Liam, according to The Guardian.
It is made for Disney, which is behind the reunion documentary. Writer and creator Steven Knight leads the project, with Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern as co-directors, according to Variety.
The documentary has already played the festival circuit, heading to the 83rd Venice International Film Festival where the brothers' path from feud to reconciliation was in focus. In Venice, Liam called the city "biblical" and Noel called it "bellissimo," while Noel also described Liam as "delightful," according to Reuters.
An official trailer is out now, showing the Gallagher brothers as reflective, philosophical and foul-mouthed, according to Variety Australia. The film is already this year's highest-grossing documentary in the U.K., and it launches on Disney+ on Oct. 9, according to Variety.
For fans, this means the streaming release is the first chance to see that joint interview in full. No long explanation. Just family, back on stage.
