Chris Colfer says he knows “nothing” about a Glee reboot.

The actor, who played Kurt Hummel for all six seasons on Fox, told Bustle he has “heard absolutely nothing” about revival plans, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He joked that fans would come after him with “pitchforks and jazz hands” if he said no to coming back.

His comments land in the middle of open talk from the show’s co-creator. Ryan Murphy said in an August interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he was considering reviving Glee, a reboot meaning a new version built around the same show-choir idea. Murphy then told Entertainment Tonight in September that he, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan had written a script.

Murphy also said he had been in touch with around 10 original cast members about the idea. Lea Michele, who played Rachel Berry, told E! News in September that she “will follow Ryan wherever he goes” on a revival.

Colfer did not close the door. He said it would be really hard to do Glee now that Naya Rivera is gone. Rivera played Santana Lopez on the series.

Glee aired on Fox from 2009 to 2015. It followed a school show choir and ran for six seasons.

For fans, this adds a little colour to a confusing picture. One of the show’s central stars says no one has called. The man who helped create it says a script exists and conversations have started. Nothing has been ordered, and no network or platform has announced a deal.
