Jack Reynor is the first honouree named for the 21st annual Oscar Wilde Awards.

The announcement was reported by The Hollywood Reporter on 7 October 2026. Reynor leads the honours list for the ceremony organised by the US-Ireland Alliance.

The event is scheduled for 11 March at the Ebell theater in Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The awards night began in 2006. It now returns for its 21st edition.

The Oscar Wilde Awards celebrates work in film, television and music by Irish talent and by some honourees who are not from Ireland. Reynor fits that transatlantic brief. He was born in Colorado and moved with his family to Ireland when he was 2, and he now resides in Dublin.

US-Ireland Alliance president Trina Vargo said the organisation looks forward to honouring Reynor in March. More names are coming. Additional honourees will be announced in the coming weeks.

Last year’s honourees were Lee Cronin, Maura Tierney and Domhnall Gleeson. Northern Ireland Screen is among the sponsors for the awards.

What makes this stand out is the early start to the guest list. One name is confirmed, the date and room are set, and the rest of the night is still to be filled.
