Remi Wolf to release third album Mud on Oct. 9

Remi Wolf will release her third studio album, Mud, on Oct. 9 on Island Records. She set out the plan in an interview published Oct. 7 by Billboard.
Her official store describes Mud as the more neutral, earthy and grounded sibling to her first two albums. The standard LP — LP is industry shorthand for a full-length album — comes on Bubblegum Pink colour vinyl.
The lead single is ‘Twiggy’. Its music video arrived in July and shows Wolf with Cole Preston, drummer for the band Wallows, in a mud pit. A single is a track put out in advance to introduce an album.
A second single, ‘Bottle’, has a video built around nine inflatable tube men standing in a corral. Those tall, waving figures are more often seen outside car dealerships than in pop videos. The effect is plain and comic.
The album also includes ‘Moon So High’, which features John Mayer. A feature means a guest musician appears on another artist’s track. Wolf recorded Mud away from a traditional studio, in rented Airbnbs in Big Bear and Joshua Tree, California.
She said the reality TV show Survivor partly shaped the album’s theme. The show strands contestants in a remote location and votes them out one by one. While building the look of Mud, Wolf worked with oil pastels every day in six-hour sessions.
Wolf has charted before. In 2024, her song ‘Cinderella’ reached No. 48 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, the ranking that tracks rock and alternative songs in the United States. The position was counted by Billboard.
For fans, this means there is already plenty to see and hear before Oct. 9. Her official website offers a pre-save, a button that adds the album to a listener’s streaming library on release. In the United States, the standard LP is listed at 32.99 US dollars in her official US shop, while in Britain the standard CD is listed at 12.99 pounds with a release date of Oct. 9, 2026 in her official UK shop.
