Rhone, the performance clothing company, has released its first NBA-licensed range designed specifically for women.

The drop includes seven men's, women's and unisex styles carrying the logos of all 30 teams in the NBA, the professional basketball league in North America WWD. That is a first for the brand. Until now its league-licensed offer had centred on men.

The women's part of the range is built around three pieces. They are a DreamGlow polo sweater, a DreamGlow crewneck and a DreamGlow track half-zip, all made to carry any team logo WWD. Supporters pick the garment, then pick the team.

Prices for the licensed collection run from $128 to $158. It is sold on the Rhone website and in select Rhone shops WWD. The company lists the range in a dedicated NBA x Rhone shop section online.

The launch extends a licensing deal, an agreement that lets a clothing company print league and team marks on its own designs, that Rhone has held with the NBA since 2024. The two sides announced a multi-year global marketing partnership in October 2024, under which Rhone would produce licensed dress shirts featuring NBA and team logos PR Newswire. Rhone is billed as an Official Partner of the league and as the Official Dress Shirt of the NBA.

Rhone was founded in 2014 by brothers Nate and Ben Checketts and started in men's performance wear. It moved into women's activewear more recently, with a plan to put a performance-driven women's collection into retail in May 2024. It also sells a Commuter Collection for women, stretch clothing intended for work and travel.

For fans, this means a wider choice beyond the standard replica jersey. A woman can now buy the same team logo on a knit polo or a soft half-zip cut for her, rather than settling for a smaller size in a men's style. Pick your favourite team. Pick your cut.
