Fox Entertainment Global will take a slate built around online creators, phone-first dramas and a three-part Christie Brinkley documentary to Mipcom, the international television market in Cannes scheduled for Oct. 12-15.

The unit handles international distribution, meaning it sells Fox shows to channels and platforms outside the United States. It relaunched that sales operation in 2022 following the 2019 sale of 21st Century Fox to Disney, according to Variety. The division is led by president Prentiss Fraser, who was named to the role in April 2025 after five years in international content sales at Fox and a later spell at Fifth Season. Rob Wade is president of Fox Entertainment.

The creator push sits with Fox Creator Studios, headed by Billy Parks. Its sketch comedy “Read the Room” from Canadian creator Josh Richards will be shopped to international buyers at Mipcom. The series includes a cameo from Curry Barker.

Microdramas are the largest volume bet. The term covers serialised stories shot vertically for phones in episodes that often run a minute or two. Fox has struck a deal with Holywater, parent company of the MyDrama and MyMuse apps, to produce 200 microdramas over two years. A separate deal with YouTube star Dhar Mann covers 40 scripted microdramas.

Fox is also reformatting those productions for traditional television sales as 70- to 90-minute TV movies with embedded chapters. The company has separately inked a distribution deal for a slate of vertical-video titles including ‘Wordle’, ‘Marriage Market’ and ‘Hidden Planet’, as reported by Deadline. Fox Entertainment Global is handling distribution of a U.S. version made by Fox Entertainment Studios and slated for Fox’s 2026-2027 season, Deadline reported.

Unscripted factual programming features in “The Christie Brinkley Story.” The three-part documentary series about Christie Brinkley was produced by Lionsgate Studios. Fox Entertainment Global and Fox Nation have acquired key rights to the series.

On the ground in Cannes, the company is planning a creator cocktail event on its stand. It is a familiar presence at the market. Gordon Ramsay shows and “Snake Oil” were on its Mipcom Cannes slate in 2023, and the sales unit launched ahead of Mipcom Cannes in 2022.

For viewers, this means more of what starts on a phone may finish on a television. A crew of two hundred still needs a slot. Fox is trying to give vertical stories that slot by cutting them into movie-length versions buyers already know how to schedule.
