Prime Video sets 6 November return for The Assassin Season 2

Prime Video has pencilled in 6 November for the return of The Assassin in the UK and Ireland, releasing a trailer for Season 2. Deadline The date locks the thriller back into the autumn schedule. It brings Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore back to screens together.
Hawes stars as Julie, a retired assassin, opposite Highmore as her estranged son Edward. The story forces mother and son to work together. TV Insider That uneasy partnership drives the series. Season two extends the family circle with Shalom Brune-Franklin as Kayla, Edward's wife.
The new run is six episodes. Filming took place in Malta. Harry and Jack Williams wrote the series and serve as executive producers, the senior roles that steer the story and the production. Terry McDonough directed episodes 1 to 3. Sarah O'Gorman directed episodes 4 to 6.
Two Brothers Pictures produced the show for Prime Video UK and Ireland, ZDF in Germany and Stan in Australia, in association with Banijay Rights. Deadline That three-way backing is how many British dramas are now built. Each broadcaster takes its own territory and shares the cost.
Beyond those homes, Banijay Rights is selling the show territory by territory internationally. Germany stays with ZDF. Australia stays with Stan. In the United States, Season 1 streamed on AMC+.
For viewers, this means the UK and Ireland have a firm date while other countries will follow through local deals. The trailer is the first proper look at where Julie, Edward and Kayla go next. Six episodes. One family. A lot to resolve.
