Jennifer Coolidge Returns for The Watcher Season 2

Jennifer Coolidge will return as Karen Calhoun in The Watcher Season 2.
The casting was reported by The Hollywood Reporter on 8 October 2026. Season 2 was heading into production in New York in the fall.
Karen is the estate agent who sold the Brannock family their home in Season 1. She sold the nightmare house. That first season was released in 2022, and Karen was also shown as a friend of Nora Brannock.
The house at the centre of the story sits at 657 Boulevard, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Netflix leaned into Coolidge’s character to sell it, releasing a three-minute video of Karen giving a tour of the property ahead of Season 1.
Coolidge is not coming back alone. Naomi Watts returns as Nora Brannock and Bobby Cannavale returns as Dean Brannock. Margo Martindale is back as Maureen “Mo” and Isabel Gravitt is back as Ellie Brannock.
Behind the camera, The Watcher was created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. Brennan serves as showrunner, the writer-producer in charge of day-to-day creative decisions. The series is based on Reeves Wiedeman’s New York Magazine article ‘The Haunting of a Dream House’.
The programme began life as a limited series, meaning a story planned for one season only. It has since continued as a returning drama.
Coolidge is an Emmy-winning actor, as noted by Netflix Tudum. She discussed playing Karen in a Tudum interview after Season 1 launched.
For fans, this means a familiar face is back at the front door. Karen opened the story in Season 1. She will open it again.
