Queen Rania Opens Layered Becoming Art Show in Aqaba

Queen Rania of Jordan opened the “Layered Becoming” art exhibition at Ayla Oasis in Aqaba.
The exhibition is held under her patronage, meaning she lends her name and support to it. Details of the opening were published Oct. 8 by Town & Country.
The show was organized by the WUJUD Culture and Art Foundation, a nonprofit focused on culture and art. It brings together more than 140 artworks by 10 artists from Jordan, the Arab region and around the world.
Rania dressed for the occasion in fall color. She wore a merlot long-sleeved blouse with navy barrel-leg pants and matching navy pumps.
The pants did most of the talking. They were cut with a pleated fold at the hips that opens into a rounded barrel silhouette, wide through the leg and narrower at the ankle.
She finished the look with a thin black belt, a burgundy handbag and a chunky gold pendant necklace. The deep reds of the blouse and bag played against the dark blue of the trousers.
What makes this stand out is the balance. The silhouette is relaxed and current. The palette keeps it polished for an official opening.
