50 Cent jokes Jay-Z and Kanye West will play his wedding

50 Cent has chosen his dream wedding singers: Jay-Z and Kanye West.
The rapper was joking. He said it during an interview on Today, and he is not reported to be planning a wedding. The line landed because he had just come from someone else's big day.
That someone was Tyrese Haliburton, the Indiana Pacers basketball star. 50 Cent performed at Haliburton's wedding, then turned the question back on himself when Today asked who would play at his own, according to Billboard.
His answer was quick. Jay-Z will perform, he said. Kanye West will perform too, if he is not banned at the time.
The interviews are part of the rollout for Street Fighter, 50 Cent's upcoming film. He has been promoting the movie this week, including a conversation with co-star Andrew Schulz for Interview magazine.
The joke also nods to a long public history between Jay-Z and West. The two rappers recorded and toured together before their relationship became strained and much discussed.
Some of that history is on the record in a 2017 interview Jay-Z gave to T Magazine. Journalist Dean Baquet led the conversation, which covered O.J. Simpson, West and therapy, according to Billboard.
For fans, this means no wedding invitations yet. Just 50 Cent doing what he often does on a press run: taking a straight question and answering it with a laugh.
