Spider Princess Migali Makes World Premiere at MIPJunior in Cannes

A six-year-old spider princess with her eyes on the crown meets television audiences in Cannes on Oct. 10.
Migali will make its world premiere at MIPJunior, the Cannes market dedicated to children's television, according to Variety. The screening introduces a new animated face with a built-in readership behind her.
The show is 52 episodes of 11 minutes each. It centres on six-year-old Migali, a spider princess determined to become queen. It is a 2D animated comedy made for children aged 5 to 8.
Migali started life as a comic book series. It was created by Alexandre Arlène and Fabien Öckö Lambert and runs to nine volumes. The books have sold more than 150,000 copies in France.
The screen version is directed by Cédric Frémeaux. He spoke with Variety ahead of the premiere about bringing Migali from page to screen. It is produced by Adelaïde Terme via Easy Peasy Entertainment with Bardaf! Productions.
Easy Peasy Entertainment is the production and licensing arm of the French Auzou Publishing Group. The series is co-produced, meaning several broadcasters share the cost and rights, with RTBF, Ketnet/VRT, RTS and TF1.
The premiere screening is set for 16:30 on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, in the Debussy Theatre, according to Prensario. MIPJunior runs just before MIPCOM, the larger international television sales market also held in Cannes.
What makes this stand out for families is the jump. A character young readers already know from the bookshelf now gets a full series built to travel.
