Bob's Burgers Sets Hulu Holiday Short for December 7

Bob's Burgers will celebrate Christmas with a Hulu-only short.
'On the Fort Day of Christmas' will premiere Monday, December 7, Deadline reported. The project is a holiday short, meaning a standalone release made outside the regular run of weekly episodes.
It will not air on broadcast television first. In the United States, it will stream exclusively on Hulu, including through Hulu on Disney+ for viewers who take the two services together as a bundle subscription. In most markets outside the US, it will be available on Disney+ internationally.
A first clip from the short was unveiled at New York Comic-Con. The footage was shown during a panel with executive producer Loren Bouchard, who leads the creative and production team, and stars H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, Dan Mintz and Larry Murphy. Events of this kind are live question-and-answer sessions where casts and programme makers present new material and discuss what is next.
The Christmas short sits apart from the main series order. Season 17 of Bob's Burgers is scheduled to return to Fox in 2027. That keeps the regular broadcast run on its home network, while the festive story lives on streaming for the holidays.
The show is produced by 20th Television Animation, the animation studio behind the series. In American television, the studio makes the programme and a network or platform then schedules and shows it. That split explains why a Fox series can offer a streaming-only special on Hulu.
The New York unveiling followed an earlier summer appearance. The Bob's Burgers panel at San Diego Comic-Con took place on 25 July in Ballroom 20, according to Variety. The San Diego convention uses large halls such as Ballroom 20 for major television panels with casts and producers.
For fans, this means two dates to keep. A festive streaming stop in December. Then a return to Fox in the new year. The short arrives first, with the new season to follow.
