Dominic Solanke rose highest in added time to earn Tottenham Hotspur a 1-1 draw at Manchester United on October 10, 2026.

Bryan Mbeumo had put United ahead. Solanke cancelled it out right at the death to deny the hosts all three points in Manchester Tottenham Hotspur.

United's opener was neatly made. Luke Shaw fed Matheus Cunha out wide, Cunha crossed low and hard, and Mbeumo arrived to finish it The Guardian. It was sharp, simple football. Pass, cross, tap-in.

Spurs kept hanging on. Then came the moment that lifted them. Solanke out-fought Lisandro Martinez in the box and powered a header past United goalkeeper Senne Lammens to level the game.

That goal carried extra weight. It was only Tottenham's third league goal of the season. One header doubled the noise around a team that has found scoring hard to come by.

The game also boiled over. Luke Shaw shoved Rodrigo Bentancur to the ground after a scissor challenge, a tackle where the legs clamp around an opponent. Shaw was shown a yellow card for the shove.

Bentancur reacted badly. He pushed his head into Shaw's head during the melee that followed. Referee Stuart Atwell sent the Tottenham midfielder off.

The point moved Tottenham off the bottom of the Premier League. They stayed in the relegation zone, the bottom three places that go down at the end of the season, while United remained in 12th.

Spurs are still winless after their opening six league games. It is only the fourth time in the club's history that has happened.

Michael Carrick led United from the dugout, with Roberto De Zerbi in charge of Spurs. The two managers watched very different emotions play out in added time, relief on one side and frustration on the other.

United had beaten Spurs 2-0 at home back in February, with Mbeumo also on the scoresheet that day Reuters. This one felt very different. Spurs were down to 10 men and still found a way.

For fans, this means something simple. United let a win slip late. Spurs found a little belief to take home.
