Dominic Solanke scored in the second minute of stoppage time to earn 10-man Tottenham Hotspur a 1-1 draw away to Manchester United.

The Premier League game was played at Old Trafford on 10 October 2026. United looked set to take all three points at home. Spurs had other ideas. BBC Sport

Bryan Mbeumo had put Manchester United ahead. His goal gave the home side the lead and control of the afternoon. For a long spell, one goal looked like it would be enough. Irish News

Tottenham's task got harder when Rodrigo Bentancur was sent off. A sending-off means a team must finish with 10 men instead of 11. Spurs had to defend with less cover, run more and still find a way forward.

Solanke found it. His equaliser came deep into added time, the minutes tacked on after 90 for stoppages and injuries. It was timed at the second minute of that period. One chance. One finish. 1-1.

What makes this stand out is the shape of it. A team down to 10 away from home is usually hanging on. Tottenham did the opposite and kept pushing until the end.

For fans, this means a shared story to take home. United supporters felt the win slip late. Spurs supporters felt a point won. That swing, in the last kickings of a game at Old Trafford, is why people stay until the whistle.
