Rosal\u00eda performs 'Reliquia' and 'Magnolias' en pointe on Saturday Night Live

Rosalía took ballet centre stage on Saturday Night Live, singing two songs from her album Lux while dancing en pointe, on the tips of ballet shoes.
The Spanish singer performed 'Reliquia' and 'Magnolias', Rolling Stone reported on 11 October. One full number was danced entirely en pointe, a demanding ballet technique that requires strength through the feet and ankles.
'Magnolias' closes the album. It is the 18th and final song on Lux.
The performance matched weeks of preparation. Rosalía trained with a professional ballerina to learn choreography for her Lux tour, with ballet footwork built into the live show.
It runs for an hour. Lux is structured in four movements, the sections used to organise a long classical work. Rosalía recorded the album between 2023 and 2025, according to her official site.
The album has crossed chart categories in the United States. Lux reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top Classical Albums, Top Latin Albums and World Albums charts, Rolling Stone reported.
What makes this stand out is the direct link between tour rehearsal and television. The SNL appearance used the same ballet language she has been rehearsing for the road, rather than a separate routine made only for the broadcast.
For viewers new to Rosalía, the set was also a plain introduction to Lux. Two songs, one hour-long record, and a live show built around movement as much as singing.
