Rosalía has marked the first anniversary of her album Lux with a playlist of 1,000 songs on Spotify, the music streaming service, and a limited-edition vinyl box set. The album was released on 7 November 2025, and the playlist is titled "1000 Temas Que Te Dan Lux", which roughly translates as "1,000 songs that give you Lux."

The playlist is a mix of very different music. Pitchfork reports that it includes tracks by Mozart, Yung Lean, Labi Siffre and Pink Floyd, along with Kate Bush, Bon Iver, Caetano Veloso and Verdi. The opening tracks are "Motherhood" by BOD, followed by Kate Bush's "This Woman's Work" and "Heart Full of Love" by Dave Richardson, according to Stereogum. Scriabin's "2 Impromptus, Op. 14" comes fourth.

Rosalía said she built the list from songs she listened to during the years she dreamed up, composed and shared Lux. In a post on Substack, a newsletter platform where writers publish directly to subscribers, she also reflected on how the album came together and on the past year. Pitchfork quotes her describing that year as "one of the hardest of my life, but also one of the most meaningful."

The vinyl box set is a limited edition, meaning only a fixed number of copies were made. The companion release is a physical collectible rather than a streaming item.

Lux was first announced in October 2025 with a billboard in New York City, according to Rolling Stone. The album brings in guest singers and musicians including Björk, Yves Tumor, Carminho, Estrella Morente and Silvia Pérez Cruz, as Stereogum reported when the record was announced. Its official credits list the London Symphony Orchestra, with Daníel Bjarnason as conductor on the opening two tracks, "SEXO, VIOLENCIA Y LLANTAS" and "R E L I Q U I A". Manny Marroquin mixed both.

For listeners, the playlist is a way into the record's influences. It also turns a single album anniversary into a long list of songs for anyone who wants to hear what might have been playing in the studio, or in a car, while the record took shape.
