Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls names Phoenix Cyclops to lead Year 1 DLC
Cyclops powered by the Phoenix Force will open Year 1 for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls on 2 November.
Arc System Works has named Phoenix Cyclops, Thor (Jane Foster), Venom and Jubilee as the four DLC fighters, or downloadable extra characters released after launch, for the first year Eurogamer. Phoenix Cyclops goes first. The rest follow across 2027.
Phoenix Cyclops is voiced by Ray Chase PlayStation Blog. His fighting style is built around many different versions of his Optic Blast attacks. Two extra looks, Classic and Legacy costumes, arrive on the same day as the character.
Thor (Jane Foster) is next. She is scheduled for winter 2027. Venom follows in spring 2027, alongside a new Klyntar stage. Jubilee closes out the year in summer 2027.
Players can buy through the Year One Characters and Stage Pass, a bundle that covers the fighters and the stage together. Each fighter and the stage can also be bought individually. The base game is available on PS5 and PC.
The lineup was announced by Arc System Works with new artwork by Marvel artist Peach Momoko.
For fans, this means a clear calendar to plan around. One new face in November, then three more spaced across next year, with a new arena in the middle.
