Drag Race UK All Stars stays in the UK for 2027 WOW Presents Plus launch
RuPaul's Drag Race UK All Stars will be filmed in Britain and stream on WOW Presents Plus next autumn.
World of Wonder co-founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato confirmed the UK production base, ending talk of a shift to an international hub, Deadline reported. The series is set for autumn 2027. WOW Presents Plus is the subscription streamer run by World of Wonder, the producer behind Drag Race.
An All Stars season means returning queens get another run at the crown. This edition will bring back performers from across the eight previous seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race UK. No cast has been announced yet.
The new home will also hold the history. All eight seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race UK will sit on WOW Presents Plus alongside the new show. So will all three seasons of spin-off RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs The World, which pits UK queens against rivals from other versions of the franchise.
The switch follows the end of the BBC run. The BBC decided not to renew RuPaul's Drag Race UK beyond Season 8, citing financial pressures, Deadline reported. Future series will no longer air on BBC Three, according to the BBC. The Sun first reported the axe amid wider cuts at the broadcaster, days before the All Stars plan emerged.
For fans, this means a new address. Viewers will need WOW Presents Plus rather than BBC iPlayer to watch new UK Drag Race from 2027. World of Wonder has said future series, including the All Stars edition, will stream exclusively on its own platform, Variety reported.
WOW Presents Plus is also set to host a separate programme honouring The Vivienne, the first UK Drag Race winner. The programme features archive footage and letters from fans, according to the BBC.
