Fontaines D.C. have unveiled “Where Is Gone?”, a collaboration with Rosalía taken from their new album Dopamine Chamber.

The song was reported on 12 October by Pitchfork. The album is due on 16 October via XL. It was produced by James Ford.

The band had flagged the arrival on its official Facebook page on 12 October, saying the track would be out at 6:30pm BST, according to the band’s post. The message billed the guest as “la Rosalía”. It set up an evening release in Britain.

Guitarist Carlos O’Connell spoke about the link-up in a press release. He said he has been a fan of Rosalía since her debut album. O’Connell grew up in Madrid with both Spanish and Irish cultures, which he said shaped his connection to her music.

The release lands in a busy fortnight for both acts. Rosalía appeared on Saturday Night Live to perform “Reliquia” and “Magnolias” and to cameo in a sketch. Fontaines D.C. are in the final countdown to Dopamine Chamber, which is listed for 16 October 2026 on the band’s official site.

That site also lists North America shows for 2027. No dates or venues were detailed in the verified information. The listing points to live plans continuing after the album campaign.

What makes this stand out for listeners is the pairing itself. Fontaines D.C. work principally in guitar-led, post-punk-influenced rock. Rosalía works across flamenco-rooted pop, reggaeton and experimental production. A shared song gives both audiences a clear entry point without needing any background on either catalogue.

For fans, this means a short wait. “Where Is Gone?” arrives first. The full album follows on 16 October. Then attention turns to how the collaboration fits within Dopamine Chamber and to the 2027 live schedule.
