Selma Blair has been charged with second-degree assault after an incident on a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York on Sunday, according to Queens Criminal Court, as reported by Variety.

The allegation is that Blair punched one flight attendant and bit another during the flight. Court records also allege that she attempted to open the plane door while the aircraft was in the air.

Two flight attendants reported injuries in the incident. One of them received treatment at a hospital, Variety reported.

Law enforcement officers were waiting when the plane landed at John F. Kennedy airport in New York. They took Blair into custody and transported her to a hospital for evaluation.

She appeared in Queens Criminal Court on Monday evening before Judge Indira D. Khan. The hearing addressed the assault charge arising from the flight.

Blair posted 20,000 US dollars bail, paid by credit card, and was released on Monday, Variety reported. She was released after the payment was processed.

Delta Air Lines has publicly responded to the October 2026 incident. The airline described Blair's alleged conduct as "unruly behavior," according to Page Six.

No further details about the court process have been released. The charge remains an allegation at this stage.
