Amyl and the Sniffers to headline Golden Hour at Bondi Beach in 2027

Amyl and the Sniffers will headline Golden Hour at Bondi Beach in Sydney on March 4, 2027, as part of a four-show homecoming run across Australia, Billboard has confirmed.
The Melbourne punk outfit, fronted by vocalist Amy Taylor, will top a bill where every act is fronted by a woman. Special guests for the Bondi date are BARKAA, a Malyangapa and Barkindji rapper, and Xiao Xiao, a post-punk outfit from Western Sydney.
The Bondi show sits inside a short run of outdoor dates. The band will play On the Banks in Brisbane on Feb. 26, 2027, then Palace Foreshore in Fremantle on Feb. 28, before Bondi on March 4 and a final night at Palace Foreshore in St Kilda on March 7.
Golden Hour staged its sold-out first edition in 2026 with Crowded House as headliner. The event returned major live music to Bondi for the first time in more than a decade.
The band has committed ticket proceeds from the 2027 Australian shows to charities. Details of the recipient organisations have not yet been announced.
The run follows a busy two years for the four-piece. Their third album, Cartoon Darkness, was released in 2024 and debuted at No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart, Australia's main albums ranking. It later peaked at No. 196 on the Billboard 200 in the United States, the band's first entry on that chart.
The album's "U Should Not Be Doing That" was nominated for best rock performance at the 2026 Grammy Awards. At the 2025 ARIA Awards, the group won four prizes including album of the year, best group and best rock album.
For fans, this means scale. Promoters are billing the Bondi headline as the band's biggest Australian show yet, and the four-date format keeps it to large outdoor sites in Brisbane, Fremantle, Sydney and Melbourne.
