Wolfmother, Ball Park Music and special guests Yothu Yindi will headline the inaugural Aloha Festival at Dee Why Beach on March 6, 2027. The new gathering is planned as an all-ages surf, music and culture event for Sydney's Northern Beaches. Organisers confirmed the date and headliners, as reported by Billboard.

Yothu Yindi are billed as special guests alongside the two headline acts, according to the official announcement carried by Medianet. The day will run as a full day of live music at the beach, according to the festival website. That site also lists Ball Park Music and Wolfmother among its 2027 artists.

Five other acts join the three headliners on the music bill. Dune Rats, The Terrys, The Beautiful Girls, Mid Drift and The Beefs will all perform. All eight music acts were named in the same announcement.

The festival is planned for Dee Why Beach, with Saturday, March 6, 2027 given as the date. An earlier local report had proposed James Meehan Reserve as the site. Capacity is set at up to 15,000 people. The festival has a website at alohafestival.com.au with the date and artists listed.

Tickets go on general sale at 10 a.m. AEDT on Monday, Oct. 26. A presale opens first, from Oct. 23. In plain terms, the presale is an early sales window before the main public sale begins. No ticket prices were included in the published announcement.

Surf films are central to the plan, not an add-on. Curated titles will screen on the main stage between live sets. The selection includes works by John Florence, Jack Johnson and Stacy Peralta. The event is presented by the Australian Surf Film Fest. It was founded by Long Reef local Luke Campbell.

Aloha will also run a Bush to Beach program. The program is intended to give First Nations youth their first festival experience. Details of participant numbers and how to take part have not yet been published.

For fans, this means one ticket covers music and film across the day. Expect sets broken up by surf cinema, all in a beachfront setting. With an all-ages policy, children can attend alongside adults. More practical details, including set times and transport, are still to come.
