GTA VI to launch 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to release on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Rockstar Games confirmed the date and platforms in a newswire post published 6 November 2025 Rockstar Games. That date was reaffirmed in reporting published 24 April 2026 GameSpot. It covers Sony's PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X|S, the two current home consoles.
The game is set in the state of Leonida. It features a return to modern-day Vice City. Leonida is the wider in-game state, and Vice City is the city at its centre.
On Xbox, the game is listed as available for pre-order on Xbox Series X|S Xbox. A pre-order lets a buyer pay early to secure a copy for release day. The listing names the console family, which includes the more powerful Series X and the smaller, digital-focused Series S.
In the run-up, fans circled 7 August on their calendars ahead of a quarterly sales report GameSpot. Take-Two Interactive hosts its earnings results conference call at 4.30 p.m. Eastern Time, according to its investor materials Take-Two. An earnings call is a public briefing where executives explain financial results and answer questions.
For fans, this means the wait has a fixed point. Mark 19 November 2026. It is a favourite talking point made concrete: a release date, two consoles, and a return to a well-known city.
