Jamie Muscato will play the Phantom opposite Celinde Schoenmaker as Christine when Love Never Dies in Concert opens at the London Palladium on 16 October for three days.

Rehearsal photos of the pair were released on 13 October, three days before opening night. The run plays 16 to 18 October, according to WhatsOnStage.

Shaun Kerrison directs the concert staging, meaning the score is performed live with an orchestra but without a full West End set. It is produced by Darren Bell alongside Cuffe & Taylor for Live Nation.

The rest of the company has also been confirmed. George Blagden plays Raoul, Christine's husband. Courtney Stapleton plays Meg, with Mazz Murray as Madame Giry.

Holly James plays Fleck. Nic Greenshields plays Squelch. Charles Brunton plays Gangle.

Love Never Dies is the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera. It picks up a decade after the Phantom's disappearance from Paris and follows Christine to America.

The Palladium run forms part of the 40th anniversary celebrations for The Phantom of the Opera. The original show continues to run in the West End at His Majesty's Theatre.

This is a return, not a premiere. A previous concert version played the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 21 and 22 August 2023 and went on to win a WhatsOnStage Award.

That history helps explain demand this time. The Palladium dates were first announced for 16 and 17 October 2026. Two final shows were later added, taking the run to five performances across 16, 17 and 18 October, according to promoter Cuffe & Taylor.

The initial casting was first revealed on stage during Muscato's own solo concert in March. Schoenmaker reprises the role of Christine, which she previously sang in the Drury Lane concert.

For fans, this means a short window. Five shows. One house. Then it is gone.
