FERG has finalised his next album and he is looking for someone to put it out.

He told fans on Instagram that the record is finished and asked, “Who wants to distribute it?” Distribution is the business that moves music onto streaming platforms and into shops, handling delivery, promotion support and payments. That choice often shapes how widely a record is heard, from playlist pitching to physical stock.

The new project is the follow-up to Darold, his third solo album. He did not announce a title, tracklist or release date in the post. For now, the music is done and the business side is open.

A$AP Rocky was quick to respond in the comments. He wrote, “U know where home is” with a red heart emoji and added, “Congratulations.” The exchange was reported by Billboard.

The reply drew attention because of their history. FERG once performed with A$AP in his stage name before dropping the prefix. Rocky told Apple Music that the change bothered him, but said he would not hold it against him and wished him the best.

FERG has described the same decision in different terms. He told Complex that removing A$AP from his name was about growth and following his truth. Neither interview suggested an ongoing dispute, only two different views of a name change.

Rocky has been busy with his own releases and live plans. He released his album Don’t Be Dumb in January 2026, as noted by Numéro. Tim Burton created the cover for that album. He is set to tour Australia and New Zealand in December for five dates, his first tour there in eight years.

What makes this stand out is how public it all was. Distribution talks normally happen behind closed doors between managers, labels and distributors. FERG opened that conversation on Instagram, and Rocky answered there too.

No distributor has been confirmed and the post did not say when FERG expects to choose a partner. A deal would normally set the path to a release date and further details. Until then, the album is finished and the next move is business.
