Forensic Files Returns With 20 New Episodes

Forensic Files is getting 20 new episodes, 30 years after it first brought laboratory science to true crime television.
Radial Entertainment has teamed with Content Partners and ITV Studios to produce the new run, Variety reported on 14 October 2026. The order adds to a library of 400 existing episodes.
The series began in the mid-1990s on Discovery's TLC channel under the title Medical Detectives. Each episode examines a true crime story through scientific evidence and data analysis. The formula has not changed. That consistency is the point.
Content Partners, a Los Angeles-based rights management firm and holding company, has owned Forensic Files since 2024. Radial Entertainment is leading the revival alongside ITV America, which will handle production.
Viewers will not need a subscription to find it. Forensic Files is already available on YouTube and other ad-supported streaming platforms, meaning the shows are free to watch with adverts. The partners also plan an SEO push, meaning work to make the series easier to find in search results across multiple digital platforms.
The new episodes have a large producing team. David Buoymaster, Cristina Guggino and Katie Carroll are executive producers for Radial Entertainment. Steve Kram, Scott Hemming and John Mass are executive producers for Content Partners. Shawn Witt, Jordana Hochman and Sumit David are executive producers for ITV America.
For fans, this means more cases solved in the lab. Radial describes Forensic Files as the longest-running true crime series in television history, and the new order arrives as the brand marks its 30th anniversary. Old episodes keep circulating. New ones are now on the way.
