Sony has announced a Gran Turismo limited-edition controller for the PlayStation 5, set for release on 10 December.

The pad is called the DualSense Wireless Controller: Gran Turismo Limited Edition, according to Video Games Chronicle. The DualSense is the standard wireless controller for the PlayStation 5, with motion control, adaptive triggers and built-in feedback. This version gets a racing makeover. It is built for motorsport fans.

The design uses racing stripes and motorsport-inspired graphics in black, red and grey. The front plate has a textured, carbon-fibre-style finish, the lightweight woven material often used on race cars. Sony said it will be sold in limited quantities globally.

Pre-orders open on 22 October via PlayStation Direct, Sony's own online store, in regions where the service is available. In the United States, pre-orders start at 10:00 a.m. ET on that date, according to the PlayStation Blog. The recommended retail price is US$84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99 / ¥12,480 including tax.

PlayStation published an official first look on the PlayStation Blog on 14 October 2026. An official trailer for the controller was also released on the same date.

What makes this stand out is the detail. Limited-edition DualSense models have become a regular way for PlayStation to mark big franchises, and this one leans hard into the look of the pit lane rather than a simple colour swap.
