Adela has told her own fans to stop pulling down Rachel Chinouriri's posters in London.

The clash started with a video. Posters for Chinouriri's I Think I Spoke Too Soon, her second studio album, had gone up around London ahead of its 16 October release. In the clip, a fan tears one down to reveal an Adela poster underneath for the single "Ain't in LA", with the line "The Baddest Bitches Are in London" Rolling Stone.

The video spread in a viral post from an X account that has since been deleted or suspended.

Adela, returning from a brief break from social media, answered on Instagram. She defended Chinouriri and urged fans to show more respect to other artists.

She wrote that fans should not take people's posters down. Promotion costs money, she said, and Chinouriri's posters deserve to be up and seen. She added that it is hard enough to get art out and heard, especially as a Black woman.

Chinouriri also responded on X. She said ripping down a poster she had paid for, after 10 years of work to earn marketing support, was mean and had made her sad Rolling Stone.

In a TikTok posted on 8 October, Chinouriri said the fan had ripped her poster to take a picture with the Adela poster underneath, rather than finding a different Adela poster. The same video indicated her album poster was back up.

For fans following both releases, the exchange cut across a familiar rivalry setup. Two campaigns shared the same walls. One artist asked her own supporters not to damage the other's work.
