Prince William celebrates as Aston Villa thrash Fenerbahce 6-0 at Villa Park

Prince William was in the stands at Villa Park on Wednesday evening as Aston Villa beat Fenerbahce SK 6-0 in the Champions League.
The Prince of Wales attended the group-stage tie in Birmingham, which kicked off at 8pm. The group stage is the early round of the competition, Europe's top club tournament, where teams play for points to reach the knockout rounds, according to HELLO! Magazine.
Villa took control early. They scored in the 12th, 31st and 39th minutes to build the lead before half-time. Johan Manzambi got the opener on his 21st birthday. Villa went on to win 6-0.
William did not hide his delight. During the match he rose to his feet and raised his fists in the air with glee. He cheered at the top of his lungs as the ball hit the back of the net. He was seen with a huge grin on his face after a goal.
He had flagged his plans earlier in the day. Prince William visited the Amos Bursary in East London on Wednesday to meet alumni and students. When Villa's form came up in conversation, he replied: "Champions League tonight!"
For fans, this will feel familiar. William is a longstanding Aston Villa supporter. He celebrated with the players after the Europa League final in Istanbul in May, as reported by The Athletic. That final in Istanbul was the club's first major European final since 1982, according to the BBC.
The club has long recognised the connection. Aston Villa describes Prince William as the club's "most prestigious supporter", in a club history published by Aston Villa FC. He has also met the hosts of a Villa fan podcast.
What makes this stand out is the manner of it. No wave from a box. He was up on his feet, fists up, shouting with the crowd. He loved it.
