Back to the Future The Musical has released first-look photos from its UK tour as it officially opens at the Bristol Hippodrome.

The images, released on 15 October, show the touring production in action. One photo pairs Roger Bart and Axel Duffy in character, credited to Mark Senior, according to WhatsOnStage.

Bart leads the touring cast as Doc Brown. Duffy leads as Marty McFly. Arthur Janes will also play Marty at selected performances.

The Bristol run started on 8 October and continues to 21 November 2026. It is the first stop on the show's first-ever UK tour, with casting for the tour first announced on 9 June 2026.

Bart stays with the tour for its next two stops. He plays Bristol until 21 November, then Edinburgh from 2 December to 2 January 2027, and Liverpool from 12 January to 6 February.

Brian Conley then takes over as Doc Brown in Milton Keynes. His dates there run from 9 to 27 February 2027.

The musical is based on the 1985 film of the same name. It premiered in London's West End in 2021 and played its final performance at the Adelphi Theatre on 12 April 2026.

What makes this stand out is scale. The tour carries the show's big set-pieces out of London, including the flying DeLorean finale pictured ahead of the road dates.

For fans, this means more chances to catch it. The show's official site also lists Tokyo, Hamburg, Paris and Royal Caribbean among its current destinations, alongside the UK tour.
