Meghan Leaves Engagement Ring Off in Nottingham Return With Harry

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, left her engagement ring at home for her return to public outings in Britain.

She joined Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, in Nottingham on Oct. 15, 2026, for their first joint appearance since moving back to the United Kingdom in late August. The couple visited The Community Recording Studio in Nottingham, where Meghan took part in a jewelry-making session People.

"It's great to be back," Meghan said during the visit, according to People.

Jewelry watchers noticed what was missing. She did not wear her three-stone diamond engagement ring. She also wore no earrings and no visible necklace Town & Country.

She was not without jewelry. She wore her Welsh gold wedding band, her Cartier watch and Cartier Love bracelet, and an Oura ring, a health tracker worn on the finger. She also wore a gold signet ring on her right hand. She did not wear her pear-shaped diamond ring or her Zodiac rings.

The missing ring is well known. It was custom made by Cleave and Company, a London jeweler that holds a royal warrant, meaning it is an official supplier to the royal family. The design centers on a diamond sourced from Botswana, flanked by two smaller diamonds from the collection of Princess Diana, Harry's late mother.

Nottingham is where the public first saw it. Meghan debuted the ring there in November 2017, shortly after the couple announced their engagement. She later had it redesigned in 2019 with a thin micro-pavé band, a band set with tiny diamonds.

The ring has spent time out of view this year. It was absent for much of 2026 before resurfacing over the summer. Meghan wore a large diamond ring in an As ever video posted on Aug. 2, 2026, her lifestyle brand's channel.

No reason was shared for why she did not wear the engagement ring in Nottingham.

What makes this stand out is the setting. She sat down to make jewelry without wearing her most famous piece. The rest of the look stayed simple. Short sleeves, minimal gold, and the black Oura ring believed to be an Oura Ring 4. Harry has worn an Oura tracker since 2018.
