Stillwater casts Lauren Cohan, Mark O'Brien and Mia Tomlinson opposite Ben Hardy

Prime Video's horror thriller Stillwater has set its central family. Lauren Cohan, Mark O'Brien and Mia Tomlinson have joined lead Ben Hardy as series regulars, meaning full-time main cast, according to Deadline.
The three new additions all circle one household. Cohan plays Catherine 'Cat' Keegan. O'Brien plays Ted Keegan, a sheriff's deputy and Cat's husband. Tomlinson plays Laura Quinn, Cat's younger sister.
That family sits opposite Hardy's Daniel West. West is an ex-con, a person just released after serving a prison sentence, and the story starts as he tries to restart his life outside.
Then a letter changes his plans. West receives a mysterious message promising answers about his past and a substantial inheritance waiting in the town of Stillwater. He travels there to claim it.
What he finds does not follow normal rules. In Stillwater, nothing ages, no one dies and nobody gets out. The town holds its residents in place, and West must work out what that means for his own past and future.
The series adapts the Skybound graphic novel by Chip Zdarsky and Ramón K Pérez. A graphic novel adaptation takes an existing long-form comic story and rebuilds it for the screen, with new scripts, sets and performances.
It hails from three companies working together. Warner Bros. Television is the studio, Berlanti Productions is the production company led by producer Greg Berlanti, and Skybound Entertainment is the company behind the original comic.
Berlanti co-wrote the opening episode with Carly Wray. That first episode is known as the pilot, the instalment that sets the characters, tone and story engine. The pair also serve as executive producers, the senior credits who oversee creative direction and production decisions.
Prime Video ordered Stillwater as an eight-episode series. The order came ahead of San Diego Comic-Con in July 2026, the large US fan convention where studios often confirm genre projects, according to Deadline.
For viewers, this means the shape of season one is now clear. Eight episodes. One closed town. A newcomer pulled in by an inheritance, and a local family with deep ties to the place.
